Job description
JOB SCOPE
An integral part of our Logistics team, the Logistics Business Partner will provide financial, accounting and operational control and support to the team in helping to ensure that key commercial indicators are met.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as part of a small but busy Logistics department, key responsibilities include:
Responsible for financial reporting in conjunction with the Finance Department
Supporting with the planning and forecasting process
Coordination and management of logistics analysis and forecasting.
Identifying internal movements, ensuring tyre movement meets the requirement
Provide weekly reports on cost analysis versus sales etc.
Flexibility to support across all aspects of the Logistics team
Maintaining strong relationships between UK and Head Office functions, ensuring coordination and implementation of group strategy
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND APTITUDES
Education
Time served, qualified or part qualified – CIMA or ACCA
Good level of general education essential
Degree level education (preferably Economics or Accounting subjects) desirable
Experience
Commercial awareness essential
Accounting experience within a large corporate organisation desirable
Demonstrate previous experience within an analytical role essential
Logistics environment experience preferred
Skills
Excellent analytical skills (understanding and interpreting information/ data extraction and manipulation)
Flexible approach to work and able to work within a pressurised environment, adaptable to change
Ability to organise and prioritise workload, and be self-motivated to ensure deadlines are achieved
Excellent communication skills, able to influence and persuade others
Confident in approach, and able to build and maintain strong relationships
The use of IT is integral to the role. Excel skills required to include V Look Ups, Pivot tables etc so advanced Excel is essential
Flexibility to travel as and when required
