Overview of Internship

The Garment Care (GC) division is now recruiting for 3 Chemical Development Engineer interns to join the team to support the development of new coating / function material development in GC products.

The interns will have the opportunity to work with the Chemical Development team on the following areas:

·  Generate ideas of new coating and function material
·  Develop generated ideas into executable concepts for prototyping, functional testing, user evaluation & reliability assessment
·  Perform coating evaluation with respect to performance criteria and identify optimization opportunities, including function, reliability & performance testing, failure analysis & prevention
·  Prepare development progress & technical reports on coating formulas and process parameters

To be considered, you should possess the following:

·  Currently pursuing a relevant engineering discipline i.e. Chemical Engineering, Material Science
·  Strong interest in new coating/function material development
·  Hands-on experience in managing experiments including data collection & analysis
·  Good knowledge of surface chemistry, ceramic & polymeric materials will be an advantage
·  Good analytical & problem solving skills
·  Ability to work in a team-based environment
