Havana Club International S.A, producer of the authentic Cuban rum brand Havana Club, was established in 1993 as a result of the joint venture between Pernod Ricard and Cuba Ron S.A. Since 1994, Havana Club Havana Club has been a priority brand for Pernod Ricard and has turned into the 3rd main player of rum industry.
With more than 500 people mostly based in Cuba, Havana Club has its headquarters in Havana while the distillery and bottling plant settled in San José de Las Lajas, 45km away from the capital. The company exports 2/3 of its volume and is responsible for the distribution of Havana Club and Pernod Ricard products within the island. The International Logistics Direction, part of the Industrial Direction, manages dry goods replenishment planning and imports, customer service for export, national distribution and other international activities that ensure the 4-millon sold cases per year.
Context of the Job: In order to strengthen follow up and coordination of the activities of the International Logistics Direction (16 people), Havana Club International is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst.
Main purpose of the job:
- Develop the reporting inside and outside the direction
- Provide support to improve the management tools used in the various departments
- Coordinate projects
- Be part of the team for development (NPD)
Key responsibilities
- REPORTING
Consolidate, analyze and prepare the monthly presentations for the various meetings the Direction attends.
Review with the Logistics Manager the activities measurements and key processes indicators, collect the relevant information and present it monthly.
Improve reporting tools for Purchasing
- IMPROVE THE MANAGEMENT/IT TOOLS
Understand the needs of the activities, the flows of information and its treatments and help improve its accuracy and its automation, in particular with the excel files used in the departments.
Apply this understanding to IT tools and look for any improvements/lead any improvement project.
- FORECASTING PROJECT
Analyze and lead a project to improve forecasting tools and processes, especially for the national market to ensure finished goods replenishment and avoid out of stocks.
To be linked to S&OP to be implemented in the company in the long range.
- FREIGHT PROJECT
Support and help documenting the review of HCI freight along with the Logistics Manager.
- NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Be part of the team to support the follow up and track timing.
Consolidate costs and perform follow up with all departments.
Job competencies
- Engineer or graduated from a business school
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external contacts
- Fluent Spanish and English is mandatory
- Excel expert
- Used to data crunching
- First experience in Supply Chain/Purchasing activities is a plus as well as experience with information systems and data bases
- Autonomous and proactive
- Organized
