JOB DESCRIPTION
a) Responsible for treasury reporting (balance sheet, treasury appendices and ratios)
1. Oversee the reporting process for all SSA affiliates in HFM (group reporting tool)
- Ensure all affiliates report all required information in time and accurately
- Support affiliates with any issue encountered while reporting
- Understand Balance Sheet transactions
2. Monthly requirements
- Collect monthly deliverables from SSA affiliates. Check and challenge information received:
- Receivables Dashboard (ageing by customer)
- Inventory levels
- Accounts Payables movements
- Brand company payables dashboard (ageing by brand company)
- Balance sheet details
- Statutory P&L details
- WCN ratios
- BIS cash comments (treasury comments on cash performance)
- Ensure consistency of Net FX calculation
3. SSA Cash comments: Write comments about the cash performance of the SSA region
4. Prepare slides for the Management team meeting
b) Cash flow projection (Cash in Cash out)
1. Collect the CICO from SSA affiliates (monthly basis)
2. Ensure coherence of figures communicated compared to Balance sheet submitted in HFM as well as latest P&L projections (budget or estimate)
3. Clarify any variance or significant change compared to previous submissions
4. Prepare any recommendation as regards future finance needs
c) Management of the Consolidation process
1. Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process for the SSA region
- Ensure affiliates communicate with relevant brand companies to reconcile transactions
- Ensure accuracy of information loaded in HFM
- Detect and follow up on issues in reconciliation
2. Reporting of balance sheet, Balance Sheet appendices and ratios as well as statutory P&L
3. Oversee the completion of the Balance Sheet appendix scenario (detailed information P&L and BS)
d) Budget and estimates
1. Create bottom up model to enable simulations at SSA level
2. Ensure affiliates prepare bottom up budget in time supported with proper calculations.
3. Review and challenge simulation to reach agreement on ambitious but achievable targets
4. Oversee reporting of budget and estimates
5. Review and control Standard Costs and Transfer Prices submission for Budget
6. Oversee Capex Budget submission for SSA affiliates and Clarify any variances compared to previous years
7. Build SCA/SSA HO Balance Sheet for Budget and Estimates, being the Business Partner between SCA, Supply chain and Finance teams
e) Ad hoc
1. Build and challenge value chains for SSA Affiliates
2. Work on specific topics/projects when required across the SSA departments (financing, memos, …)
3. Participate in support missions to the Sub Saharan affiliates
Education and Skills
- Master Degree
- International Mindset (have studied or worked abroad)
- Fluent English, knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be an asset
- Advanced level in Excel
- Knowledge of Powerpoint, Word
- Experience in Hyperion (HFM) will be an asset
- Strong Accounting skills
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities
- Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
- Pro-active and willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
