Job Description

Key EUROPE SQA Packaging team member responsible for New Supplier approvals, Supplier Reapprovals and ongoing Supplier performance monitoring Incidents/ Regulatory change impacts, Supplier Program management. This will involve on-site audits of Supplier sites in Europe (including Russia) or remote assessment using Global SQA tools and processes.
The role will require working cross functionally, typically with Packaging Development, Quality Assurance Teams, Global Procurement, Supply Chain Ops, Regulatory Affairs and Europe Food Safety team. Connectivity with SQA Global team in other regions relating to common process metrics and approach is key in driving a consistent Global approach for SQA.

Job Accountabilities:

· 
Support PepsiCo Packaging innovation/productivity/strategic planning/business continuity projects across the european packaging portfolio for both Beverage and Foods Categories by ensuring the new and/or existing packaging supplier site meets the Food Safety Quality Program requirements that have been set forth by PepsiCo. This includes collaborating with packaging engineers, procurement, supply chain, and/or plant operations.

Re-Approval of current global packaging suppliers prior to their approval status expiration to ensure continuous supply to PepsiCo production sites.

· 
Maintain the Global Packaging Supplier database by verifying the accuracy of the data and accurately entering data into the system.

· 
Work with the GSQA Pkg Team and cross functional partners on a common approach to review and assess supplier performance metrics relevant to the materials. Follow up with the suppliers as required. Create and maintain any SQA technical assessments (prescreen/ re approval questionnaires/site specific audit packs etc.).

· 
EUROPE based SQA team member delivering on going compliance to Pepsico Global standards and ongoing European Union Official Controls Regulations (EU OCR)

· 
Supplier engagement/ Key point of contact from “Audit Scheduling” to Corrective action “close out”

· 
​ Ability to lead a cross functional team through incident management/resolution process and assist other functions on packaging supplier related issues (QD/ Regulatory/GP/ QC Ops)

· 
Work with EUROPE lead to optimize the Europe Raw Material Incident Management Process, driving issue resolution of Food safety and Quality Incidents to prevent reoccurance at EUROPE manufacturing sites.

· 
Work cross functionally to help develop and implement improved Supplier Performance Management to drive quality and efficiency using a risk based approach.

Qualifications/Requirements

· 
Graduate in Engineering, Food Science, Packaging or related discipline or equivalent

· 
Previous experience desirable in FMCG R&D, Quality, Packaging, Auditing, product/pkg or technology development roles

· 
Ability to travel to other European countries to audit Supplier Sites without travel restrictions.

· 
NOTE: Potential of ~20% travel associated with the role so flexibility to travel at short notice is desirable

· 
Self-starter, self-motivating: able to balance competing priorities without losing momentum

· 
Good understanding/appreciation of the broader business environment and application of technical and commercial knowledge during project execution.

· 
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and distil into meaningful information.

·
