We are recruiting for a Packaging Specialist to join our Quality team in Little Island, on a permanent basis.
We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands. We are a global organisation, situated in 17 locations across 11 countries offering careers in various functions from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, R&D, HR and IT. Position Purpose and Primary Accountabilities

·  Identify and lead packaging productivity projects across all packaging types.
·  Support new filler initiatives by identifying packaging Best Practice requirements from incoming packaging through to finished product shipment.
·  Manage change control process to ensure new package and packaging equipment is successfully validated.
·  Develop and manage technical specifications for new in bound packaging materials, assuring specifications deliver appropriate functionality while conforming to the appropriate regulatory standards.
·  Liaising with procurement and operations in rolling out Packaging Quality related Best Practice tools.
·  Proactively assist in resolving packaging design and line issues.
·  Develop site performance Packaging related metrics and targets.
·  A requirement of this role is to adhere to all PepsiCo Health & Safety requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

Essential Skills:

·  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical sciences or equivalent.
·  Proven track record/experience in food and beverage industry manufacturing and supply chain environment highly desirable.
·  Excellent working knowledge of quality systems and audit program; and the employment of quality tools for the processing and manufacture of packaging materials.
·  Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze technical data and translate information into actionable activities.
·  Drive for results and proven track record on delivering against business objectives on complex projects across multiple functions.
·  Self-starter and self-motivating with the inherent ability to deal with uncertainty and complexity.
·  Qualification and experience working in packaging highly desirable.
