Overview
GBS Control Accounts Receivable located in Plano TX. has an open EDI analyst position. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) facilitates the electronic transmission of billing to PepsiCo trading partners as well as the receipt of electronic payments, remittances and billing issue notifications.
This position works closely with Field Finance, Field Sales, Accounts Receivable, IT and FLUS external trading partners on all matters pertaining to electronic billing, electronic payment/remittance and in some regards electronic ordering.
The incumbent manages all EDI invoice requests, prioritization, funding procurement, development, testing and leads the investigation and remediation of production issues. The analyst works closely with IT partners on establishing EDI setups and mapping. The analyst will be expected to develop an understanding of all the billing functions, screens and configurable parameters in the newly developed PGT solution in S4. The analyst is expected to manage all business developed utilities used for billing corrections, specific billing extractions and retransmissions. The position also requires the knowledge of the languages the utilities are written in and to leverage that for development of new automation processes for EDI billing corrections. The position also requires the same level of understanding for the alternate forms of custom billing automation that have their own separate utilities.
The analyst is required to be proactive in all EDI billing issues and provide concise reporting and notifications to internal stakeholders.
The incumbent is the dedicated liaison with IT, Accounts Receivable and the external Trading partner on all electronic billing and presentment.
Responsibilities
· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful EDI setups and issue resolution
· Work with stakeholders to identify all requirements for EDI billing
· Manage prioritization of requests including testing and production hyper-care
· An understanding of the technical aspects of EDI and able to articulate at a SME level
· Perform unit testing prior to releasing automations for production
· Support test coverage and the timely resolution of defects
· Support production implementations
· Execute invoice corrections and retransmissions accurately and timely
· Coordinate, evaluate and support change request analysis along with implementation
· Develop strong working relationships with internal partners, both business users and technical resources
· Participate in EDI discussions beyond just the aspects of billing to help develop and implement solutions that are properly suited for the trading partner. EDI ordering and ASN
· Provide statuses and escalate issues to higher management timely
Compensation and Benefits:
· The expected compensation range for this position is between $53,900 - $84,050 based on a full-time schedule.
· Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.

Qualifications
· Ability to work independently but also function exceptionally well within a team of developers to drive cross functional learning, development and the sharing of best practices
· Advanced MS Excel skills, ability to work with macros, formulas and large data stores
· Minimum 1 year experience with software development life cycle
· Minimum 1 year experience documenting process flows and business requirements
· Understanding of database query languages
· Ability to create proper functional requirements and detail specifications
· Ability to identify repetitive processes and system exceptions and provide recommendations for improvements
· Ability to identify opportunities for replication of existing technology to drive additional organizational efficiency
· Technical aptitude to learn new software quickly
· Ability to break down business problems into logical tasks and think creatively
· Ability to balance responsibilities related to production support and project tasks simultaneously
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document and explain business processes, automated solution designs and to present technical details to a non-technical audience
