Job Description

PepsiCo is on the look-out for an Assistant Raw Materials Planner to join our busy Supply Chain team based at our Southern Region Distribution Centre (SRDC) in Leicester.

The SRDC is our largest distribution site in the UK. We distribute the bulk of our own products, working closely with our manufacturing and supply chain teams, the SRDC makes this possible. If we’re not operating efficiently then our customers won’t find our great range of products on the supermarket shelves. Which is definitely not good for business!

Salary range: 24000-26000

Work in progress management for all plants / warehouses
SAP processing of raising orders and allocating stock
Manage and report upwards on KPI, service and cost bases at a weekly, and period intervals. (Accountable)
Liaise with Co-Packers monitor WIP and Raw material Yeilds.
Monitoring service, cost approvals and liasing on problems. (Consultation)
Manage small-medium CI projects in the Co-pack Identify opportunities monitor implementation (Accountable)
Raise orders in SAP for supply of Raw Materials
Inventory returns reporting finding by period, identify and monitor areas for improvement
Liase with planning teams for movement of stock though the network
Set up new SKU’s in Raw material and WIP file
Add new SKU’s to blanket purchase agreement



·  Previous experience in a planning/scheduling role
·  Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
·  The ability to learn new systems quickly.
·  Ability to work under pressure due to an ever-changing network to meet the customer’s and internal network requirements.
·  Knowledge and experience of a current FMCG road network would be an advantage but is not essential.
·  KPI / service background
·  Logistics or 3PL management knowledge
·  Data planning and modelling
