Junior Formulation Scientist (Product Development / R & D)

Job description

This Technical specialist will be based at our UK manufacturing site, supporting the technical sales and NPD team with New Product Formulations and Manufacturing processes. You will be part of a young team contributing significantly to the product development strategy. You will assist the Formulation Scientists in all aspects of their Job role. Working closely with the Production and Sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of formulation of new products to meet customer requirements

• Product evaluation, formulation development and sample preparation

• Assessment of new raw material suitability

• Maintaining Samples and Products development stock area.

• Internal product technical support

• Investigate and solve manufacturing problems

• Work to tight production planning and deadlines

• Assist compatibility studies and scale up processes

• Preparing Processing, Capsule and Compression Machines for Trials

• Assist with Manufacturing Production Schedules with Blending/works orders as necessary

• Be aware of existing quality procedures

• Assist in Drafting New Processes.

• Ensuring current New Products are running to schedule.

• Liaising with other Departments for Sample Sign off.

Requirements

• Relevant similar experience or a Science degree

• Would suit a newly qualified graduate or placement undergraduate

• Excellent Mathematical Skills

• Advanced Excel skills

• Excellent organisational skills

• Ability to work to tight deadlines

• Motivated, determined and committed

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing company. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm.
