about the role
Primary Skills :- Strong knowledge on Linux Platform which include RHEL 6,7 Veritas Cluster , Vmware .
Secondary Skills : Administration of One more UNIX/Linux flavor
Sr. Administrator – Unix will be leading the Crisis Incidents.
Incident and Crisis Management :
Key contact for the CPM and the IT-CSM for escalations and crisis management or when SLA are not
met, he is responsible for coordinating the 'Service Restoration' for Linux Technology . He can contribute to service restoration actions. He is responsible for handling Escalated Incidents in Linux
Technology and front end for resolving in shortest possible timings . He is responsible to ensure that all Operations Benchmarks are met by Operations Team in Linux Technology issues .
Sr. Administrator – Unix for his Linux Technology area is responsible to analyze , and achieve Targets ( reduction in Incidents , Repeated Failures ) related with Escalated Incidents .
Leading P1 incident & accountable for complete closure.
Problem Management :
Initiates and manages the action plans for Linux Technology , including follow-up of implementation.
He is responsible to drive P1 Incident Reduction Linux Technology and ensure RCA’s/PIR’s are submitted as Contracted with Customers
Leading the documentation & ensuring 100% Icog updation.
Customer Technical Documents :
Update ICOG’s and SOP portal with the latest documents related with Escalated Incidents . He is responsible in Linux Technology with respect to Properly updating Knowledge Base Articles and
Procedure Documents .
Technology Effectiveness :
Sr. Administrator – Unix is responsible to Identify and Raise Issues in Current Environment with respect
to Upgrades /New Releases in coordination with other Teams . He is expected to Drive Initiatives to
Standardize Technology Environment resulting in Reduced Complex Incidents . He is expected to
Arrange Trainings for L2 Linux team members to bring them upto Speed in resolving Complex Issues
in a methodical process .

Education, qualifications, and certifications :-
Graduate/B.E
Linux 6 ,7 Veritas Cluster 5.0, Veritas Volume Manager 5.0 & ITIL
