about the role

Orange International Networks Infrastructures & Services (OINIS) is a technical department serving the group at an international dimension. With more than 1700 collaborators highly qualified trough the world, OINIS is a privileged stakeholder for networks, infrastructure and security. OINIS’s mission is to conceive, plan, broadcast, display and operate international networks and long distance (backbone), as well as the IT infrastructures of the group.

The IMEAR (Indirect, Middle East & Africa) region is the department within Global Enterprise Networks which is responsible for end to end ownership of network infrastructure planning, deployment, and management in a technical & financial dimension. We manage carriers and collaborate with regional teams (Sourcing, Business Unit, CS&O) and entities to design, plan and deploy regional network to guarantee optimal quality of service and maximize both profitability and competitiveness. We are a ‘HYBRID’ team, with a very unique mixture of technical, business and financial responsibilities operating in an AGILE environment driven by empowerment, autonomy, experimentation, transparency, cooperation, adaptation, and flexibility. This position will be specifically responsible and accountable for aiding in the managing of access and network costs. The responsibilities include the following items:

Optimization Management –  Develop and follow-up the actions to optimize Access and Shared access costs and improve the corresponding cost/revenue ratio in a subset of countries

·  Drive ongoing initiatives to optimize Access costs on a per country basis
·  Identify new opportunities to improve our competitiveness and our profitability
·  Prioritize all initiatives based on business impacts
·  Participate and present the evolutions during regular Network Optimization Reviews with all key stakeholders

Financial Management - Familiar with financial management, including P&L

·  Develop Business Cases related to capillarity improvements
·  Maintain a comprehensive view of the evolution of the costs based on run rate, savings and activity
·  Keep a comprehensive view of the access budget evolution on a per country/per project basis and maintain a reforecast view of this budget on a regular basis
·  Estimate the evolution of the costs per country by consolidating various sources (sales successes, marketing data, business evolution and forecasts, cost reduction initiatives, regulatory environment evolutions, forex evolution, etc.)

Project Management: Solid grounding in services/infrastructure dimension of project management  a plus


about you

This position requires a solid experience in the area of networking and planning. The candidate must have the following skills:

·  High level of autonomy with good level of creativity
·  Good leadership and management skills: ability to lead a virtual team
·  Very agile with data crunching and analysis, business case building as well as budgeting, forecasting and working with financial data
·  Solid understanding of technical/business elements in the networking services industry
·  Strong business and commercial acumen
·  Strong organization, co-ordination, communication, presentation & reporting skills
·  Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English language, French is a plus
·  GCC or Middle East experience is mandatory
·  Degree in computer, communications, or business management.
·  Demonstrated ability to motivate others towards the achievement of goals and objectives

The main KPI associated to this position is the Cost to Revenue ratio for IMEAR region. In terms of interlocks, the person will intensively interact with:
