Job description

Responsible for digital marketing of products or services in support of Oracle's demand generation strategy using tools to optimize marketing strategies and enhance the customer experience with new technology platforms and innovations.

Assist in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness. Executes online marketing programs such as search optimization (paid and natural search), affiliated marketing, social marketing, and viral marketing to create buzz and inbound demand responses. Drive traffic which ultimately generates sales pipeline. Translates ideas used in demand generation into promotional marketing campaigns and advertising personas. Ensures localized content is leveraged for all digital marketing channels including, web, social, paid advertising and outbound emails Conducts analysis for programs effectiveness and uses the findings for market site enhancements and to leverage optimization of all digital programs. Collects and analyzes digital/internet/website/mobile data and statistics which monitor and measure the performance of digital traffic and activities to support marketing and campaign optimization, lead generation for sales, product and engineering teams for continuous improvements to product and data driven decision making. Applies statistics-based market intelligence to business issues and formulates recommendations on optimizing the user experience and help drive business outcomes. Monitors and analyzes site performance and reviews tracking metrics to provide solutions to increase search engine ranking and creating marketing personas/audience profiles. Researches and evaluates new technology trends and identifies new optimization opportunities. Manage online advertising relationship and local social media agencies.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8+ years relevant work experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent. Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills and technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms.

We are looking for an accomplished, innovative and dynamic social media specialist who can do just that. Oracle User Assistance Development is a group of trailblazing thinkers and doers. This role will work with products across the Oracle Cloud offerings and with creative ideas to inspire and connect.

You will lead the way for social marketing of Oracle products and services in support of Oracle's user assistance (UA) and enhancing the customer's experience when interacting with Oracle technology platforms and innovations. You'll provide direction and mentor others.

The work is very complex, and involves the application of advanced technical/business skills in various areas of specialization. Three years relevant social-media work experience required. Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills, and a technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms is required.

Roles & Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to play an influential role on the Oracle User Assistance team. The Social Media Specialist will lead integrated, social media campaigns for Oracle Cloud solutions.

You will work with internal marketing leaders to plan and measure social media. You will lead the execution of media campaigns from beginning to end, guiding stakeholders on best practices, measuring and reporting on performance, and sharing new ideas to improve our success.

You will work with our content team to coordinate messaging and supporting assets for designated campaign focus areas. Together you will plan and identify the content and assets to bolster activities such as online programs, webcasts, email campaigns, and events that map to the appropriate target audience and the customer's buying cycle stage.

The end goals are to support and nurture the user community, amplify our brand, and drive traffic to our online platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop measurable media goals aligned with the overall campaign goals.

• Lead the development and management of effective integrated media plans, focusing on the user experience and measurable actions.

• Align campaign-focused teams to ensure that media planning is integrated across all business needs.

• Educate campaign stakeholders about targeting and media capabilities.

• Meet with internal marketing clients to understand their previous media planning strategies.

• Work with marketing leaders to maintain and update media plans; includes execution and reporting.

• Develop and execute new and effective social media campaign recommendations.

• Manage targeting and data strategies across all platforms, including leveraging first-party and third-party data segments.

• Monitor overall media performance in order to evaluate campaign effectiveness, share reports to internal stakeholders, and recommend adjustments.

• Stay ahead of industry standards and trends, new media programs, and innovative opportunities to reach targets.

• Cooperate with corporate marketing to improve campaign performance, including looking for opportunities to collaborate.

Preferred qualifications include:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent

• 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in software/technology marketing

• Minimum 3 years of experience in media planning

• Digital/mobile/social media advertising savvy, with proven track record of success

• Experience working with data management platforms (DMPs)

• Experience using standard media planning and research tools

• Visual design skills (involving tools such as Photoshop)

• Strong interpersonal, English verbal and written skills; ability to communicate media strategy and plans to executives throughout the business

• Experience establishing media metrics/KPIs and performing data analysis to improve results
