Job description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform detailed design based on provided high level design specifications. Assist in system planning, scheduling and implementation. Build enhancements (including new product features) and resolve bugs. Build and execute unit test and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Interact with QA and porting engineering about problems in the code.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

As a member of Oracle's CEGBU Production Support team, you will be supporting enterprise web applications within Textura portfolio. In this role, you will handle Tier-2 escalations from Client Services team. You will investigate, Analyze and resolve issues. You will work with multiple teams to gather requirements, participate in troubleshooting/root cause analysis sessions, propose, test and document solutions.

Key responsibilities

·  Responsible to research, triage, resolve and schedule the fixes to production systems
·  Identify possible production failure scenarios, create enhancements/problem tickets and communicate effectively with Development, Client Services, Infrastructure & other teams
·  Review, approve and execute data corrections and other ad-hoc production requests from internal/external partners
·  Adhere to and enhance administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures
·  Identify vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities; maintain records to develop a trend analysis that will drive improvement in Production support services
·  Create ad hoc reports for internal/external users
·  Develop and support internal tools
·  Able to work in flexible hours

Qualification & Skills

·  A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
·  At least 3-5 years of experience in Development/Production support
·  An ITIL certification is preferred
·  At least 1 year of experience in programming using Python, Django/Flask.
·  At least 3 years of Production support experience with large enterprise system
·  Strong SQL, PL/SQL skills
·  Knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripting
·  Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
·  Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
