Position: Senior Control Engineer

Location: Birchwood Park, Warrington

Travel: Hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days at home.

Arrangement: Permanent/Contract.

This opportunity is working on the Sellafield Progressive framework, specifically supporting on the MSSS SEP project.

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.

Main Purpose of Job: 

Essential

• Preferred CEng/IEng status or equivalent experience
• Experience of PLC/SCADA control systems and network architecture
• Ability to lead a team to achieve challenging targets (no line management responsibility)
• Ability to prioritise work scope in line with project demands
• Experience of creating design specifications and providing support during implementation by addressing queries/issues
• Ability to contribute to the production of, deliver to, and report on plans of work
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders, including system integrators
• Can review, understand and challenge control system requirements
• Willingness to develop early career engineers to enhance their control system knowledge.

Desirable

• Experience working with control system/servo drive interfaces
• Familiarity with production and checking of engineering drawings, and standards relevant to their production
• Experience working with commissioning teams and use of fault rectification processes
• Experience of creating design specifications and supporting implementation queries/issues
• Experience in the production of design risk assessments, Installation method statements, Implementation work packs, supporting quality requirements and O&M documents
• Experience in the production of Technical Files and accompanying deliverables and familiar with the EHSRs
