We are currently looking for an Instrumentation and Control Technician (evening shift):

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent has the responsibility to perform and see to the electrical, electronic and software maintenance of the equipment inventory and the utility systems. The technician performs and sees to the calibration of instruments deemed critical to the process. The technician provides technical support to production and participates in projects and equipment validation.

Summary of tasks:

Provide technical support to Operations;
Maintain the equipment inventory and utility systems such as: the electrical and electronic maintenance of equipment inventory and the calibration of instruments;
Participate in projects and in the validation of equipment and utility systems;
Write and revise procedures related to the position;
Validate control systems;
Participate in equipment improvement projects.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

DEC in industrial electronics or automation and instrumentation;
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in instrumentation and control in a highly automated manufacturing plant;
Experience in the pharmaceutical or cosmetic field is preferable;
Knowledge of the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices);
The candidate must be available to work the day shift, evening and night to meet organizational needs;
Thorough understanding of programmable automatic control systems (Omron, Allen Bradley RSLx500 and RSLx5000);
Knowledge of the PLC/PC operator interface;
Knowledge of instrumentation and control and industrial computer science;
Knowledge of movement control an asset;
Knowledge of programmable automatic control systems (B&R, Siemens) an asset;
Knowledge of VB, Java and AutoCAD an asset;
Concern for a job well done;
Customer-driven;
Initiative and time management skills;
Good communication skills and team spirit;
Proficiency in spoken and written French, good knowledge of spoken and written English.
