Position Title
SQA Engineer

The main of objective of this role will be to achieve agreed QA Key Performance Indicators and quality targets (on schedule and within budget) for all projects and products.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
· Ability to manage a team of people to ensure achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets.
· Liaise with technical staff (design, process engineering), manufacturing departments and global suppliers during concern investigation, root cause analysis and solution development stages
· Utilise problem solving tools & techniques with good understanding / application of statistical methods
· Benchmark and set class leading standards to quality assure the product at all stages of the production process
· Specify and procure measurement, inspection and test equipment
· Perform product and process audits (internal & supplier base)
· Generate technical and management reports
· Manage product and process change
· Interpret new project requirements and generate QA plans for trial and launch activities
· Flexibility to work and travel at short notice (including shift working)

Background & Experience
Background and Experience:
· Minimum HNC / HND level in Engineering or Scientific field.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
· Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to make fact based decisions.
· Experience in generating and Interpreting Engineering specifications/standards
· Understand and have experience approving parts using PPAP.
· Experienced in project management reporting within an APQP or similar framework.
· Experience of building close working relationships internally and with suppliers.
· Experience of using problem solving techniques in a production environment (e.g. 8D, 5 Why)
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
· Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to make fact based decisions.
· Experience in generating and Interpreting Engineering specifications/standards.
