Posting Description

We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to support our Decherd, TN engine manufacturing facility.

Nissan's Decherd, TN manufacturing plant is located approximately 85 miles southeast of Nashville, TN and 65 miles west of Chattanooga, TN along Interstate 24. The Powertrain Assembly plant is 1.1 million square feet and has an annual production capacity over 1 million engines. Nissan-Decherd's engine assembly plant produces engines for the Nissan Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Frontier, Titan, Armada, Quest, Pathfinder, as well as several Infiniti vehicles. In addition to engine assembly, Nissan –Decherd also assembles the electric motor for the LEAF, Nissan's 100% electric vehicle. Other production at Nissan-Decherd include: Cylinder Block Machining, Cylinder Head Machining, Crankshaft Machining, Crankshaft Forging, and Cylinder Block Hi-pressure Die Casting.

Position Description:

Responsible for managing a workgroup of production technicians in an assigned area. Responsibilities include: Provide production technicians the tools needed to perform their work, including job allocations, training, equipment and any other needed support. Ensure departmental goals are met in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost and Time. Track and prepare reports and charts showing assigned areas progress regarding Safety, Quality, Cost, Time. Write and maintain Standard Operation Sheets for each job in the assigned area. Maintain an atmosphere of trust and positive morale for assigned area.

Minimum requirements:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

-Supervisory/leadership experience-Bachelor's degree in related field
