Position Title

Platform Architect

Mission and Main Objectives

Works with the principle vendor to oversee all aspects of the evolving platform architecture and design. Is the Technical Authority for the platform to provide direction and decision as required for the resolution of any operational issues and for the design and delivery of changes. Works closely with the Product Manager to ensure the technology can deliver and can evolve with the functional and business needs of the platform and emerging digital marketing trends. Works with all vendors to ensure appropriate specification, delivery and maintenance of all technical components within the platform. Works with the regional IS and IT teams to ensure alignment of the Platform to corporate enterprise architecture and regional integration architecture. This role will evolve from being initially focused on the HELIOS Platform in to taking a wider scope of the evolving technology-enablement of the digital customer journey. LINKEDIN

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

•Maintenance the platform architecture including process & organisation, application, data, integration, infrastructure, operations and security architectures, working with the Product team and principle vendor
•Chair the Platform Architecture Governance forum(s)
•Oversee selection of package and system components and usage within the architecture
•Alignmentwith NMC Enterprise Architecture, e.g. relevant technical standards and guidelines
•Reviewsproject high level designs and implementation to ensure quality, coherence & consistency with solution architecture
•Review, arbitrate, represent and align regional integration architectures and manage related issues and risks

•Domain architecture knowledge including process, applications, data, integration, infrastructure, operations and security
•Vendor selection and management skills
•COTS package technical knowledge (in particular AEM andApigee)
•Technical planning and costing
•Strong automotive industry and business understanding
•Strong communication and influencing skills
•Strong analytic and problem solving skills
