The Analyst Role

·  Work closely with your manager to assist in the analysis and preparation of client deliverables and answer client questions
·  Play an active role in both client and internal Nielsen strategic projects and initiatives
·  Develop mastery of propriety Nielsen tools and metrics, which you will use to help solve your clients most pressing business questions
·  Simplify data into a compelling story that will be directly presented to clients and used by industry leaders to set strategy
·  Be the voice of the consumer by keeping our clients at the forefront of industry trends
·  Develop a basic working knowledge of sales drivers to help our clients increase revenue

General Skills

·  Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
·  Strong oral and written communication, organization & client service skills
·  Able to synthesize data & simplify findings
·  Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams
·  Basic project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
·  Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes

Background and Technical Skills

·  Bachelor's degree required
·  0-3 years' experience
·  Preferred industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, Consulting, Information, Sales, Analytics
·  Strong analytical aptitude
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office software, advanced user of Excel
·  Analyzing large data sets using SAS, SQL, R, preferred
·  Strong knowledge of statistical approaches
