To boost the development of the data team we are looking for a:
DATA SCIENTIST INTERNSHIP
The Data Scientist will drive and participate in the design and implementation of algorithms working with the retail. This requires basic knowledge of statistical modelling, data mining, and machine learning concepts, and includes understanding business requirements, conducting advanced data analysis, designing algorithms, providing algorithm specifications and also the corresponding tweaking/tuning guidelines. This individual will work closely with a Data/Bi team.
The Data Scientist will also drive and participate to define and perform advanced analyses on innovative projects related to retail sales and operations support of various Retail Solutions’ customer driven solution creation. The objective of these analyses will be to answer important business challenges.
Studies and experience:
- Degree/Master in statistics / informatics
Prerequisites:
- Interest in the Big Data world, and curious about the informatics and applicative changes (new tools ; new domains)
- Basic knowledge of R, Python, Spark & BigData Technologies
- Basic knowledge of UNIX programming
- Basic concepts on Databases and Data warehousing
- Basic knowledge of the statistical analysis tool SAS, Base and macros
- Basic knowledge of SQL programming
- Basic knowledge of the ETL, and Data Management processes
- Knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of the Office suite (particularly Excel)

Work location: Milano city centre (next to the Duomo–Cathedral)
