Context

Quality control inspectors examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications.

Purpose

· To ensure that the finished product adheres the qualitycriteria or meets the requirements of the client or customer

Areas of responsibility

· As Inspector, you will be in charge of:
· Performing In-process control during manufacturing.
· Controlling and inspecting the manufacturing process of the products on all machines and at all stages and performing all the relevant measurements in order to make sure that the products are in conformity with the manufacturing notes.
· Issuing Rejection Notes “NR” for the non-conforming products explaining the nature of the defects as well as their causes and the suggested actions to be taken and also following up the execution of these decisions as approved by the quality engineer.
· Controlling the accomplishment of the newly developed products by doing relevant measurements and writing reports to summarize the results of the projects and the “OD” as well as suggesting any improvement or modification which will help in manufacturing quality products efficiently.
· Following the raw material testing during production, verifying their compliance with the specifications and summarizing all the results in written reports contributing in the qualification of raw materials.
· Performing dimensional testing for the finished products (LV, MV, HV and telephone cables) in the absence of the lab testers.
· Accomplishing immediate actions during production (e.g.: reducing thicknesses of sheaths and insulation, etc…) or executing official corrective actions in order to reduce the raw material consumption.
· Performing any other duties assigned by his direct Supervisor / Manager.
· Keeping self well-presented and observing standards and behaviours that enhance the company image

Required skills and qualifications

· Good oral and written skills in French/English and ability to communicate effectively
· Knowledge in computer
· Numeracy skills– to calibrate and measure specifications
· Physical strength and stamina– quality control inspectors spend long periods of time standing and may be required to lift heavy objects, so applicants for this role should be physically fit
· TS electrical or electronic is preferably
