Mission
The Project Manager Assistant in VIE will be responsible for managing all the projects ongoing and future projects within the area. More specifically, he/she will:
Customer development
- Identifies and analyzes business opportunities in Spain
- Cooperates and coordinates with the Tender Manager
- Performs customer visits, inspections, meetings
- Fosters a trustworthy & open climate with consultants and customers
Project management
Contributes to the different project management activities including:
- Identifies and takes into account customer needs
- Manages the contract
- Interfaces with engineering teams
- Updates the Project Management System
- Follows technical & financial (budget, turnover and invoicing) parts of the project
- Coordinates manufacturing & planning
- Gives feedback to all relevant units
- Gives all necessary information from plants to site teams
Engineering
- Supervises & coordinates technical definition of cables and also electrical calculations documentation
- Coordinates sample tests and type tests
- Controls & approves schematic diagrams, support systems documents
Administration
- Checks the documentation of the different projects and general documentation of the unit
- Checks project cost
- Coordinates logistics with transportation companies and also with the plant
Profile
- Electrical engineering school
- Customer orientation skills
- Sales/communication skills (ability to promote Nexans & Nexans portfolio)
- Technical skills (cables, accessories, other materials, installation techniques, manufacturing processes/ products tests)
- Managerial skills (stands up in front of diverse and experienced teams, ability to motivate and be viewed as a leader)
- Ability to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
- Language: fluent in English and Spanish
