More about the role

It’s an exciting time in New Look’s Talent Acquisition team. We’re about to begin a transition to a new resourcing model that will help New Look hire the best people. That means there is going to be a lot of change over the next six months.

To help us with the transition, we’re looking for a couple of enthusiastic recruiters with experience of recruiting Retail Management roles or Fashion Buying, Merchandising and Design roles to join us on a fixed term basis to ensure we maintain service levels throughout the change. We want to free up our existing team from some of their normal operational workload so they can settle into their new roles, and get involved with some project work to support the new model.

Both recruiters will also help out with our current Graduate Recruitment cycle.

While these roles are fixed term, we are planning on increasing the size of the permanent team, so there may be opportunities to move into a permanent role.

Sound interesting? Here’s what you’ll need:

·  Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to contract effectively with hiring managers, and support them through their recruitment journey
·  Fantastic talent sourcing skills. We fill about 95% of our roles directly. You’ll get a LI Recruiter account and access to some CV databases of course, but that’s just the tip of the sourcing iceberg. We’re looking for creative sourcers with a “hunter” mentality, and experience of using a variety of tools and techniques to find the right people.
·  A genuine interest in the fashion retail business. If you’ve worked in the industry before, that would be very helpful. But if it’s your first time in the world of fashion, then you’ll need an innate curiosity to learn about the business and some of our industry-specific functions and roles.
·  The ability to “embrace the pace”. New Look is a fast-fashion brand and that translates into how we work. We move quickly. Sometimes REALLY quickly. It’s not for everyone.
·  A real passion for delivering a great candidate experience.
·  A really organised approach to your work, with a strong focus on managing data. We use Harbour as our ATS, so if you’ve had exposure to it before that would be useful.
