About the Role

To be the author and custodian for the direction and application of the brand’s tone of voice.

To deliver creative, compelling copy across all aspects of communications to reflect New Look’s vision to be the chosen brand for an inspiring, accessible fashion experience.

To provide Guidelines and training programmes across the company to drive consistency across all channels of communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Write copy for external and internal customer communications as generated by the Group Creative Studio.
• Assist other departments with tone-of-voice guidelines & training to drive consistency.
• Become the internal custodian and ambassador for the brand’s TOV, and develop it continuously so New Look is globally consistent and always relevant.
• Produce the copy requirements for the brand magazines each RP (men’s and women’s versions) in conjunction with the brand team.
• Produce copy for a variety of different communications channels both internal and external; above-the-line advertising, point-of- sale graphics, customer and staff magazine amongst other platforms.
• Sub-Edit & Proof read copy to ensure it is grammatically correct and adheres to tone-of-voice guidelines.
• Ensure copy is legally compliant.
• Consider international requirements for all copy produced by the Group Marketing team.
• Deliver copy in a timely manner.

Maintain an awareness of all competitor published activity as well as any relevant trends and how they might impact the New Look communication activities.

Experience and Skills

Experience in fashion with extensive knowledge of fashion and retail language and excellent verbal communication skills.

• Strong empathy with the New Look brand and customers.
• Creative copywriter & creative thinker
• Strong knowledge of grammar
• Understanding of legal requirements for marketing copy
• Ability to effectively work on multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and deliver under pressure
• Commercial understanding
• Effective prioritisation
• Happy to work to a strict brief, put finishing touches to copy as well as generate ideas
• Relevant experience, preferably within Marketing
• Copywriting experience
• Sub editor experience
