WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join the logistics team based in York on planned working time.

CF2 Warehouse York is an integral part of Nestlé Logistics and delivers Nestlé products across UK & I. Reporting into the Shift Team Leader you will have the passion to work within a diverse role allowing a variety of skills to be used and developed whilst succeeding in a fast paced environment.

Our Opportunity

The main purpose of this role is to work as a key member of the team receiving, storing, picking, and despatching our portfolio of products. You will have an eye for detail to ensure procedures are followed, enabling products to reach customers on time and in full. You will be responsible for the unloading of vehicles, receipt of stock, order picking, load assembly and vehicle loading.

What we're looking for

You will need to demonstrate strong customer service skills and attention to detail at all times. Also, being a team player with a real drive for continuous improvement whilst demonstrating a ‘can do' attitude is essential. Ideally you will have:
· Previous experience in a distribution/warehousing environment is desirable
· Understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Processes
· Inventory Control experience
A full training programme will be given to the successful candidate including fork lift truck training and development on the bespoke Warehouse Management System.

Please note that the operation covers 7 days per week, 24 hours per day and you will be required to work either:

A rotating 3 shift working pattern and this includes the requirement to work 3 Bank Holidays as well as nights and weekends. Weekly Hours Total = 40.83 Salary - £34k
OR
2-Shift Rotation – Morning and afternoon shift rotation, Sun-Thurs and Mon-Fri respectively. Weekly Hours 40.83 Salary - £30k
