The Digital Services Unit has the mission to provide Nestlé with the best in class Digital platforms and Capabilities to win in Digital Marketing and eCommerce, creating and running end-to-end Digitial Services and Solutions, touching billions of consumers everywhere in the world.

The strategic focus spans across key areas such as Digital presence on web and mobile, eCommerce and Omni-channel, Social media listening, enaging and publishing, Personalized Consumer Experiences and advanced cRM , Digital Consumer Analytics, Programmatic media, including upcoming areas such as IoT, connected products and services.

To grow our new Global Digital Hub in Barcelona, we are currently looking for a Mobile & Apps Developer .

Role & responsibilities

As a Mobile Developer you will be the developing, improving and delivering mobile applications for the consumer facing business. By acting as technical expert for mobile development you will contribute to deliver best in class mobile applications which integrate seamlessly into our global solutions ecosystem. As part of the mobile team in the Digital Hub in the Digital Service Unit (DSU) you will work together with other teams inside and outside DSU (e.g. Security, Enterprise Architecture, etc.) to ensure the successful delivery of mobile projects.

Your responsibilities will be:

· Ensure best coding practices including Unit testing by applying latest platforms, and software architecture guidelines
· Continuously research, assess and adopt top notch technologies platforms (SDKs) to include in the global mobile solutions portfolio
· Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
· Design and document software solutions for mobile applications on iOS and/or Android platforms.
· Recommend, setup and follow development best practices and ensure their adoption in mobile projects
· Estimate development effort for new projects and report progress of developments
· Ensure the quality of the delivery of the external partners and its alignment to the DSU mobile strategy
· Contribute to the availability and evolution of the Continuous Integration solution (including quality and Security checks) in collaboration with the teams running the service
· Translate functional requirements into technical specifications when required
· Investigate and analyse defects and perform corrective maintenance and correction of identified defects
· Participate in various phases of test development cycle (unit, functional, integrated, acceptance)
Requirements
· Extremely passionate about mobile technologies, always up to date with the latest mobile trends
· Minimum 3 years of overall experience as a developer
· 2-4 years of experience as an iOS native developer (Objective C) for iPhone and iPad and/or 2-4 years of experience as an Android developer
· Knowledge of the Material Design principles and iOS and/or Android UI guidelines.
· Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and design patterns
· Experience and good knowledge of Web Services (JSON, RESTful)
· Team player
· Experience of source code management software (GIT) and Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Sonarqube..)
· Experience with unit tests, integration tests and instrumentation tests.
· Experience in hybrid architecture (Webviews + WebServices) would be a plus
· Knowledge in scripting languages would be a plus
· Working experience in Agile environment and development methodologies
· Previous experience in code inspection, review and code quality check
· Experience in cross-platforms mobile applications using frameworks such as Xamarin, PhoneGap, JQuery Mobile, AppCelerator Titanium, Sencha Touch would be a plus
· Experience with any of the following technologies would be a plus: Dependency Injection, ReactiveJava, Robolectric, Appium, Jenkins, CocoaPods, AFTNetworking, Masonry Kiwi, ReactiveCocoa, Instruments, Jenkins
· Good English (written and spoken)
· Experience in working with cultural diversity: respect for various cultures and understanding how to work with a variety of cultures in the most effective way
