We currently have an opportunity within our Own Fleet Operations area of Nestlé Logistics for a LGV Driver to be based from York.

You're main responsibilities as an LGV Driver will be to provide timely and safe movements of tankers and trailers between all on-site manufacturing plants and finished goods stores in accordance with customer, company and legislative requirements.

External road driving duties include delivery to external customers, stores and factories on a national basis. A high priority within Nestle Logistics is our focus on Health, Safety, and the Environment, as a LGV driver in a Nestle branded truck you will be expected to always drive safely, responsibly and with the up most regard for the general public.

This position will be a roaming role on a shift pattern of 5 days on 3 days off, which involves external road driving and may include elements of internal shunting. The working hours are based around the average 48 hours per week Working Time Directive.

Ideal candidates will be conversant with the Drivers' Hours Rules, Working Time Directive and Digital Tachographs. You will hold a current clean LGV Driving license/Driver CPC License as well as having LGV 44 tonne driving experience.

The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude as well as having the ability to deliver excellent customer service, and use their own initiative, particularly when communicating with our customers. Our drivers are the final link in the supply chain so the successful candidate will also be a team player and have a natural ability to work with others.
