At Nestlé Research Konolfingen, near Bern / Switzerland, we develop new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Milk and Nutrition for Nestlé worldwide. In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories around the world.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic designer to join our Nestlé Nutrition Packaging Team. You will work alongside Packaging Engineers, Consumer Researchers, Marketeers and Suppliers, turning insights and technologies into tangible product experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented product designer with strong design sense to express your creative skills and transform ideas into reality. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working on packaging.
You will manage all design activities in close collaboration with the innovation and consumer research groups for Nestlé's regional business and technical teams, to conceptualise creative workshops, visualise and bring new ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
· Be an integral part of the creation of new concepts, supporting major Innovation & Renovation projects by initiating new product and packaging ideas, and leveraging consumer knowledge and insights
· Lead prototyping and visualization of concepts to bring ideas to life
· Organize, manage and lead your own project and remain available for any design support for the packaging team
· Build and document knowledge about the latest creative methods, trends and developments in design
· Have inspiring ideas and motivation together with an energetic and collaborative team spirit
· Conceptualize and run creative workshops in collaboration with other internal teams to generate creative ideas
Academic Qualifications and Technical Skills:
· Bachelor degree or Master degree in Product/Industrial Design, Packaging Engineer or equivalent
· A minimum of 3 years' experience as Product Designer, working on packaging
· 1 st relevant professional experience in the industry (FMCG) or Communication/Marketing agency
· Strong hand sketching skills and excellent ability to communicate ideas in front of an audience (animation of ideation sessions)
· High level of computer literacy: Adobe CS suite, 3D software like Inventor or Solidworks along with Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) other videos and animation is a distinct advantage
· Familiar with prototyping equipment like 3D machines, printers, table cutter, photography booth etc.

· A portfolio which showcases innovative and creative design skills
· A passion for Design and Innovation as a bonus
· Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current design thinking and trends
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Project management and organization skills to balance work load of simultaneous project deliverables
· Strong sense of team work
· Fluent in English
