Responsibilities

DreamWorks Animation is accepting resumes for a Specialist in our Training Department. The individual filling this role will work to prepare new employees for entry into production, supporting on-going training, and expanding the knowledge base of the DreamWorks Features team. Specific job duties include:

Responsibilities:
·  Class instruction and tutorial development for DreamWorks proprietary software and some 3 rd Party Software
·  Content development for new hire classes as well as all other employee training classes, presented live or as desktop recordings for streaming content.
·  Assist with training program updates including developing new class topics, integrating software revision information into current classes, and program restructuring when appropriate
·  Record and edit classes that are either taught by trainer, another trainer, or artists.
·  Mentoring new hires, including daily check-in's to ensure material comprehension and tutorials progress
·  Assist DreamWorks artists with their class development and creating their class outlines

Qualifications/Requirements

• Excellent communication, customer service, and people skills
• Camera and screen capture experience for recording courses.
• Premiere Pro experience for video editing
• Ability to self-manage and to prioritize needs in ever-changing schedule.
• Must have a working knowledge of animation studio proprietary software environment (or similar background)
• PhotoShop and other 3rd party animation software package knowledge
Desired Characteristics

• Previous training and video creation/editing experience ideal.
• Scripting/programming experience preferred
• Prefer UNIX literacy
• Hands-on CG production experience preferred
