We are currently recruiting for a Regional Finance Analyst-Logistics.

We are looking for an experienced individual to support the Regional Financial Controller (RFC) with the preparation and analysis of weekly and monthly reporting in order to support the business and achieve our aim to become the biggest and best chilled dairy & Ingredients Company in the UK.

Your challenge

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

• Support the Regional Financial Controller in budgetary cost control, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting

• Preparation of management accounts and KPI's

• Support weekly and monthly variance analysis to aid decision making

• Assist the Regional Financial Controller in all aspects of relationship management with third party suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Liaise with the site depot managers to understand core risks and opportunities

• Support the Regional Financial Controller in maintaining overall financial control and managing the risks within the Outbound Logistics Area

• Introduce appropriate checks to ensure accurate reporting

• Responsibility for accuracy of financial data

• Prepare for review monthly KPI summary

• Prepare monthly cost bridge causal

• Review monthly accounts before finalisation and advise of if any adhoc journals needed

• Prepare expense reports and also prepare routine journals for period end

• Update initiative trackers

• Prepare weekly labour reports and submit and prepare weekly flash report

• Develop effective cross functional working relationships at all levels within the business e.g. sites, Group Finance, OBL team

• Support RFC's to prepare budgets for region and to prepare forecast for region (timescales tbd)

• Cover for others in the Regional Logistics Controlling team

• Support the Regional Financial Controller - Logistics in ad-hoc projects and analysis

Key skills & experience

• AAT qualified or by experience

• Confident and resolute interpersonal and influencing skills to manage communication with a multitude of stakeholders both internally and externally

• Ability to work closely with non-finance team

• Some experience of detailed reconciliations

• Proven IT & Systems knowledge and experience, including Excel

• Ability to visualize the whole picture and understand the importance of their role both within the department and also within the whole company

• Quick learner with ability to work on own initiative in a fast moving, high pressured environment

• Strong numerical skills with the ability to understand and analyse financial data

• Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail
