We are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Technologist based at our Minsterley site, to manage the site Food Safety & Quality Management System through Document Control & Maintenance.
In this role the key responsibilities will include:
• Accountable for the management of the Document Control System, ensuring all documents are up to date and effective version control in place.
• Main site lead for transition and implementation for SAP - DMS
• SAP management and transition
• Document Management review
• SOP creation versus SAP user
• Supporting in the Customer Complaints, Allergen, Hygiene and Laboratory systems by logging, investigating and responses.
• Supporting in completing internal audits, both QMS and GMP.
• Assist the SQM in the system process to ensure effective close out of all CAR's within agreed time frame.
• Support Company Food Safety - HACCP team member.
• Pro-actively works closely with peers across all departments
• Escalate trends and pro-activley work with operators to regain control & implement sustainable preventive measure
• Reports any issues or concerns with relationships with others where unable to resolve informally
• Works with operations to improve all systems and processes
• Support effective close out of other colleague's actions to ensure effective close out
• Flexible approach to work with willingness to cover peers and team members
• Key lead for product traceability.
• Supporting in the Customer Complaints System, logging, investigating and responses.
• Supporting in completing internal audits, both QMS and GMP.
• Assist the QSM in the system process to ensure effective close out of all CAR's within agreed time frame.
• Accountable for the management of the concession system, logging and close out.
• Accountable for the collation and review of Quality Incidents to ensure effective closure and the identification of a long term preventative measure through RCA.
• Assessing auditors with correct audit compliance, ensuring reports are correctly completed.
• Assisting in the investigation of customer complaints where necessary working with other departments to identify root cause.
• Assisting in the effective close out of Quality Investigations raised an where necessary working with other departments to identify root cause.
• Supporting and coaching operators to help understand Quality Management System compliance and improvement
• Supporting the management with the stationary spend, creating purchase orders where requested.
• Assist in ensuring effective procedures in place where there is a breakage of glass and/or risk of foreign body contamination in product.
• Reports & records and hazards, accidents, potential accidents in the Operational areas and Laboratory
• Uses relevant PPE according to the task and associated risk assessment, reporting any shortage of PPE to the Shift Manager/ Laboratory Manager
Key skills & experience
• Minimum HND in Dairy Science with ideally, a minimum of 3 years relevant food manufacturing experience.
• Proven supervisory or management experience
• Minimum of HACCP L3, ideally HACCP L4
• Internal Audit & Allergen M&C certificate
• Certified Auditor
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
• Good communicator - verbal and written
