We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a PL/SQL Technology Developer to join the Information Technology team at Hilmore House, Bradford. Reporting to the IT Development Team Lead, you will contribute in the analysis, design & creation software solutions to help achieve business objectives. Accountable for development of own quality software & reviewing work of junior members of the team following industry standard methodologies and guidelines. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and responsible for support of software promoted into production

Here at Morrisons our PL/SQL Technology Developers do the following;

· Work with key business stakeholders and develop knowledge of continuous improvement deliveries around key IT systems
· Responsible for delivery of personal workload when working within a team; monitoring and tracking inputs, deliverables and adherence to schedules and plans
· Establish technical knowledge of coding standards for bespoke systems
· Gain technical knowledge of 3rd party & bespoke applications
· Understand functionally Morrison’s IT systems, both bespoke and purchased
· Develop leadership skills through mentoring and coaching junior team members
· Propose innovative solutions & workarounds to meet project timelines & avoid slippage and impacts on wider business initiatives & processes.
· Implement software development and configuration changes and review mitigating actions to safeguard the production environment.
· Recommend testing procedures and process to ensure quality of deliverable

What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful PL/SQL Technology Developers?

· Significant software development experience gained either within Morrisons or in similar large corporate establishment, primarily but not limited to PL/SQL (Stored Procedures , Packages, Functions) forms, Unix Shell Scripting and BI Reports
· Deep understanding of the systems & applications you will be working on. (ORWMS,JDA(Dispatcher)).
· Any knowledge of Continuous Integration Tools would be advantageous.
· Significant understanding of the business processes applicable to the area within IT development that you are deployed.
· To motivate others and be adaptable & able to work in an agile or waterfall manner.
· Proven ability to study & learn new skills & keep current with latest IT trends.
· Ability to work and achieve within a fast paced environment; working in a “fleet of foot” way and responding positively and quickly to changing demands and priorities
