We have a great opportunity for a Quality & Hygiene Advisor to join our manufacturing site, Flowerworld in Derby.

Reporting to the Technical Department Manager you will be responsible for delivering safety, quality, legality and integrity throughout our supply chain for all our customers, whilst ensuring the site is compliant on regulations surrounding the above.

FlowerWorld is unique to Morrisons manufacturing as it is our only non-food producing site.

With over 300 florists, each and every bouquet is treated with care and consideration before it leaves site ensuring the best possible quality to our customers. Not only that but we also use specialised techniques to first check how our flowers are going to develop through their life and then to keep them at their very best.

Here we make over 400,000 bouquets per week using both hand tying methods and machinery; during peak periods such as Valentines and Mothers Day this increases significantly.

Key accountabilities:

· Protecting and promoting our reputation and passion for the quality of our products.
· Ensure we deliver a high quality product in a safe, efficient, hygienic and continually improving environment.
· Check customer complaints against targets; audits scores and focus on time driven improvement;
· Assure compliance to relevant industry accreditation schemes, BOPP
· Ensure Morrison’s Manufacturing Standard is green across the manufacturing division.
· Compliance to industry, COSHH and health and safety regulations
· Development and implementation of Technical systems and HACCP/QuACCP plans
· Working with the Technical Team to ensure compliance to site quality plans and relevant accreditation schemes.
· Working with all departments to improve H&H standards on site
· Working with external bodies for example DEFRA PHSI, Rentokill and regularity bodies.

Knowledge and experience:

· Knowledge of safety, legality and quality across manufacturing
· HACCP and QuACCP
· Excellent attention to detail
· Effective communication skills
· MS Office Skills
· Ability to proactively manage data and prioritise work loads
· Ability to contribute to crisis situation. E.g. Product Recall
· Awareness of operations environment
· Understand the impact of KPIs upon departmental/site performance
· An Understanding the Technical Function within a Manufacturing Environment
· Experience communicating with a variety of Stakeholders
· Previous Audit experience
