Are you a fashion enthusiast with experience as an Assistant Merchandiser ?
We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for you to join our merchandising team at our Nutmeg site in Coalville as an Assistant Merchandiser on Childrenswear.

Reporting to the Merchandiser you’ll support in planning, purchasing, intake and distribution of merchandise to maximise sales and margin for the department. Ultimately this will lead you to taking full responsibility and ownership for merchandising a designated area within the department you are working in.

Here at Morrisons our Assistant Merchandisers do things like this;

· A variety of administrative tasks
· Assists in the building of range plans
· Work closely with suppliers, making sure we communicate the status of orders to help keep the critical path up to date and accurate
· Assist in the department strategy, using your understanding of the merchandising figures to actively contribute and make suggestions
· Reviews weekly sales performance and stock volumes and identify any opportunities and highlight any issues

What do you need to be a success in this role?

· Knowledge of all aspects of the merchandising, buying and allocation process’s so ideally you’ll have already worked as an assistant merchandiser or in a related role
· You need to demonstrate energy and enthusiasm to drive results
· Evidenced experience of identifying risks and issues and forming practical solutions
· Ability to form strong, influential relationships with key stakeholders including peers and suppliers
· Commercial awareness and attention to detail are both key, as are planning and organising skills
