6 Month Fixed Term Contract Cabin Crew/Pier Crew

It is an exciting time to join City Cruises. We are going through a period of growth and are looking for enthusiastic team players for our Cabin and Pier Crew positions.

We are the leading operator of passenger services on the River Thames, carrying in excess of 4 million people annually via our extensive sightseeing, entertainment and charter services.

Customer Service Agent – Cabin Crew :

Our Cabin Crew have a great responsibility in ensuring that our customers have an unforgettable experience on-board one of our boats. The role provides the varied opportunity of meeting a diverse group of people and our crew get to enjoy the world famous River Thames and its historical landmarks as part of their day to day duties. Other duties include:

·  Greeting and welcoming customers on-board our boats, providing a professional, polite and proactive customer experience throughout our customers journey
·  Ensuring that daily revenue targets are met by selling drinks, snacks and attraction tickets and upselling meal deals
·  Overall responsibility for ensuring that the customer areas are clean and presentable
·  Proactively offering audio guides to customers who would like commentary in another language
·  Providing information about City Cruises products and services
·  Providing general information about London and the best things to do whilst visiting the capital
·  Complying with Health and Safety procedures, ensuring that the safety of passengers is protected at all times.

Customer Service Agent – Pier Crew:

For our Pier crew, you will be based near to one of our World Heritage sights such as Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London or the Cutty Sark, and should be happy to work in a busy, fast moving environment. Able to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative to ensure that the Pier is run safely and efficiently.

·  Selling City Cruise tickets and products and offering tickets to the top London attraction, working to a daily sales target & earning incentives for tickets that you sell.
·  Providing tourist information and giving excellent customer our customers from around the world. Speaking a second language is desirable but not essential.
·  Working as part of a team checking tickets and manifests making sure customers get on the correct boats & making sure our customers board and disembark from the boats safely and the boats leave on time and any issues are report imminently to the manager on duty.

Successful candidates will be determined through one of our assessment days on 11, 21, 26 February 2019 at the Cherry Garden Pier, Bermondsey, London SE164TU .

Candidates are asked to confirm attendance at their preferred date through recruitment address 72 hours in advance.

Candidates must be dressed appropriately for a formal interview and provide a current CV, which must include referees. As part of the recruitment experience, candidates will be required to demonstrate their passion for customer service, selling skills and their Maths and English ability.

Interested candidates must have a passion for customer service and have a good level of Maths and spoken and written English.

Due to the nature of the role requirements, candidates should only apply if they are available to work any five days out of seven, including Saturdays and Sundays. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be available from March 2019 onwards for employment.

Whilst these roles are initially being offered on a fixed term contract, there is a genuine possibility of contract extension subject to individual performance and the needs of the business.
