Microsoft is in a race against Google, Apple, and Amazon to deliver a workplace digital assistant that delivers on the promise of huge productivity gains leveraging natural language and artificial intelligence. The Outlook team is working closely with AI&R to build an AI-powered scheduling assistant (bot) for busy professionals that brings the value of a personal executive assistant to everyone. Technology – Coding environment on the backend is C#/ASP.Net/NoSql utilizing a dozen different Azure resource types and accessing intelligence substrate services, such as LUIS and Bot Framework. Our frontend is comprised of TypeScript/jQuery/Angular2, HTML5, and LESS.

Your responsibilities include:

•Participation on virtual teams to define new scenarios.

•Reviewing functional design and ensure they are sound and complete.

•Design and code new features as well as maintaining existing features.

•Interfacing and integrating with Outlook Web App (OWA) team and UI framework

Requirements:

•Experience building scalable, secure, high-performance, server applications a plus.

•Strong customer focus and empathy for the end-user.

•Experience with web technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is also a plus.

•A strong design sense and passion for building great UI.

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
