Office 365 and Skype for Business (formerly Lync) are growing and changing the way businesses communicate. Skype has the goal of enabling communication for billions of people across the planet.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II focused on building services used for massive data collection. Our team's solutions serve all of the Skype for Business engineering teams. Without our services up and running, the rest of the feature teams are unable to diagnose and improve our product. You will develop solutions mostly in C#, utilizing Azure technologies to provide a highly reliable and scalable system. These solutions will help feature teams to iterate faster and ship with higher quality. We are looking for engineers who are self-driven, customer focused and understand that quality is always of the most importance.

We are a combined engineering organization with no dedicated testers so you must develop, test, ship, and support your code running in production. Your solutions need to scale to support thousands of servers, millions of users, and terabytes of data. Past experience in C# service development, big data systems and service development is welcome. Azure experience is also a plus.

Our team is collaborative, working on a clear goal, to deliver great infrastructure that enables communication across the planet. We use an Agile development process with 1 week sprints, daily standups and an open workspace. We are experts at unit tests, C#, fast build times, logs, alerts, crashes, and PowerShell.

Desired profile

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of software development experience

- Good Knowledge of C# and some C++

- Good Knowledge of Distributed Systems and Services

- BS or MS in Computer Science or the equivalent experience is required
