The Surface Post Launch Engineering team is looking for someone that can help shape the future of devices by providing customer focused features and fixes. You would be responsible for maintaining the highest quality experiences across our device portfolio. You will use feedback from a variety of sources, manage expectations of our support and sales organizations, and work with internal and external partners to enhance drivers and firmware with new functionality.      

Are you up for the challenge? Ideal candidates for this position should have a degree in computer science or a related field, plus strong organization, problem solving and leadership skills. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work extremely well in cross-group situations. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of the product development life cycle and been through an end to end-product cycle. Attention to detail is crucial.    

Role & Opportunity:

You will drive cross-company and cross-industry work with the Surface team, focused on software experiences. This role includes some travel, both domestic and international.

Qualifications include:  

3+ years as a program manager

Experience managing multiple concurrent hardware and software releases    

Experience with application development on Windows

Experience defining and realizing great user experiences in applications that drive hardware innovations.  

Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, a self-starter and an excellent problem-solver    

Ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize workloads    

Excellent written communication and presentation skills are a must    

A BS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
