The world of B2B marketing is evolving at mind-blowing pace.   The key to driving new leads and new business opportunities centers on building trust with prospects, and the best way to create that relationship is by delivering the right content at the right time within the buyer’s lifecycle. Content marketing and marketing automation work hand-in-hand to get the job done.   If you are an experienced marketing communications professional with a desire to be on the cutting edge of marketing innovation, then this is the role for you. The Content Marketing Team within Microsoft’s US Central Marketing Org is looking for an ambitious, high energy, highly creative individual to create end-to-end content experiences across Microsoft’s principal business priorities, and core programs.  

The right candidate will bring a combination of great experience in marketing communications strategy, creative development and production, strong abilities in copywriting, project management, cross-team collaboration, and agency relationships. This is a high-impact role that requires extensive partnership across marketing disciplines, and the management of agencies to create world-class content.   This individual will be responsible for leading the US webcast program and other video strategy to drive broader content marketing objectives. Hands-on skills are a plus.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage multiple agencies across projects to create assets to fulfill content needs as identified by Content Planning Team.  

Provide consultation to key stakeholders and regarding webcast, video, and other content strategy.

Draft copy and light image editing for emails, landing pages, media ads, and blog posts.

Drive production for webcasts from brief through execution and distribution. These will span everything from high-production scenario-based videos, to product videos, to demo videos.

Manage budgets and timelines with agencies and production companies.

Maintain compliance with LCA and Privacy on creative content approvals and clearances.

Work with various teams across Microsoft to plan for and execute content assets that can be leveraged for global product launches worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

BA/BS in communications, marketing or related discipline, and 3+ years of experience in a B2B digital marketing/communications role.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or Microsoft Dynamics Marketing

Experience working with Microsoft (corporate and field), production teams, and MS Production Studios staff and facilities

End to end video production experience including concepting, editing and finalization work

Experience working with HTML, Photoshop, WordPress  

Imagination and the ability to see beyond what is there and see what could be or should be there.

Strong passion and personal drive to have business impact and make things happen.

Provide consultation to key stakeholders and regarding content strategy.

Deep understanding of digital marketing and how to develop customer-focused strategies and tactics

Demonstrated ability to think strategically, think conceptually, execute effectively, and manage multiple projects.

Must be able to deal with ambiguity, have experience with problem solving, have confidence and executive maturity to work across multiple teams and directly with key stakeholders across the organization

High creative bar for all content production execution and the ability to work with an agency to achieve our creative vision.

Strong oral/written communication, organizational, project management and interpersonal skills.

Ability to meet challenging timelines and work in a fast-paced environment

Highly capable in working with Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
