The Mid-Market Account Executive sells online advertising to Fortune 1000+ businesses. The Mid-Market Account Executive is a solution seller with a competitive edge who enhances the Bing Ads share of wallet, and partners with customers to develop their overall search advertising strategy.

The Mid-Market AE is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and developing new business within the East Coast Market. The AE will be proactive in building a strong pipeline of prospective customers, in addition to responding to incoming leads to develop opportunities for Microsoft Bing Ads.   Additionally, the Mid-Market AE upsells and cross-sells within their existing accounts to maximize the team’s coverage and opportunities.  

Responsibilities:

•      The Mid-Market AE will be responsible for bringing in new business to meet/exceed new business revenue targets.  

•      This role will develop a sales strategy to find and grow new business opportunities within a subset of existing Market advertisers.

•      Create and maintain a robust Prospecting Plan including Territory Management and Prospecting objectives and identify key areas of opportunity for new business.  

•      The AE will partner with marketing to drive net new business through high conversion rate of sales leads.

•      Adopt Microsoft’s culture of sales excellence, including established sales processes, pipeline management, forecast accuracy, maintain tool and reporting accountabilities, and a focus on core role KPI’s.  

•      Make outbound calls into new and/or competitive accounts

•      Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer satisfaction, remove and report blockers, and create a seamless customer experience.  

•      Continually develop industry knowledge and grow professionally. Act as an ambassador and representative for Microsoft in the advertising and media community.  

•      Develop network of strong relationships with key search and media industry influencers, customers and partners. Develop and maintain a high- level understanding of the search industry and trends affecting or influencing the marketplace.  

Qualifications:  

•      The individual in this role will bring search knowledge, new business development and customer acquisition experience, customer obsession, a passion for innovation and best-practice sharing, all while delivering exceptional results over time.  

•      Minimum of 3 years of experience in search advertising and 18 months experience in pipeline development and closing new business

•      BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

•      Proven track record of exceptional performance, measured against revenue and customer satisfaction

•      Relentless focus on the customer experience while balancing the needs of the business

•      Demonstrated enthusiasm for search and technology and its use in driving revenue, efficiency, customer and employee satisfaction

•      Flexibility to accommodate change and thrive amid ambiguity

•      Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills, ability to scale across all levels of an organization

•      Ability to travel, as required 10-20%
