THE OPPORTUNITY
For the assigned purchasing portfolio or facility(ies), ensure the performance of the purchase of goods and services for the specified region, in accordance with the defined purchasing procedures. A key component of this role will be the ability to use digital tools, identify process improvement opportunities and effectively embrace, communicate and manage change.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

·  Collect and analyze plant/local needs and place orders with respect to value threshold; handle urgent purchasing activities
·  Analyze and optimize procurement continuity of the plant(s) on their purchasing scope
·  Possess a continuous improvement mentality
·  Use of digital tools, including, but not limited to Microsoft Power Platforms
·  Analyze large sets of data to draw conclusions
·  Deploy purchasing tactics defined by the Buyer in charge of the purchasing scope, while being supervised by the country Purchasing manager. 
·  Make local tenders and negotiate when needed, looking for value creation. 
·  Share and validate performance metrics (cost, quality, planning, savings, reactivity...)
·  Identify gaps on delivery date, quality... and their impacts on the business, for their portfolio 
·  Make quality reviews with local suppliers and lead corrective action plans 
·  Apply Purchase to Pay process :  learn and use Purchasing tools (Oracle, Hermes, E-sourcing, etc.), catalogs, requisition and PO creation, use of global contracts, approval rules, 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

·  A strong digital competence is highly preferred
·  Expertise in developing visualizations that tell the story using BI Tools, e.g., Power BI
·  Proficiency in the application of statistical methodologies to solve business problems and ability to simplify interpretation of results  
·  Willingness to travel up to 25% of time with overnight stays
·  Willingness to provide emergency support after hours and on weekends
·  Comfortableness to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and respect timelines
·  Customer-focused demeanor, with high level of integrity and discretion
·  Self-motivated with strong multitasking proficiency
·  Proven analytical skills and attention to detail
·  Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt/learn on the fly
·  Strong organizational and prioritization skills
·  Proficient in MS Excel
·  Strong analytical/quantitative skills with the ability to identify, collect, organize, and analyze data 
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills 
·  Proficiency in the application of statistical methodologies to solve business problems and ability to simplify interpretation of results 
·  Able to identify optimal solutions, considering possible approaches and flexibilities in the system as well as organizational values, policies, procedures
