Who You Are:

You are energetic, collaborative, and have strong communication skills. You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, are curious and are an experienced IP Paralegal. You have provided IP support in the following areas: trademark, copyright and domain name portfolio development, managing IP disputes, managing outside counsel, and client counseling.

What You’ll Do:

·  Manage the preparation, filing, prosecution and maintenance of U.S. and foreign trademark, copyright, design, patent and other intellectual property applications, and manage docketing and databases to track the same
·  Analyze the brand’s global IP portfolio, including ensuring all deadlines are met, managing renewals, performing portfolio gap analyses and making recommendations to counsel on filing strategies
·  Liaise among attorneys, in-house clients (including marketing and product development clients) and outside firms to coordinate license recordals, statements of use and responses to office actions
·  Review worldwide watch notices, including assessment of risk with counsel, and manage watch notices that mature into conflict matters
·  Manage all conflict matters including oppositions, cancellations and others, including strategy for proceedings, risk assessment with counsel, independent handling of day to day matters, gathering of evidence and maintaining status updates
·  Conduct, analyze and prepare trademark searches, and assist with design searches as assigned
·  Maintain global domain name docket, managing renewals, leading the acquisition of new domain names, coordinating changes to domain name technical specs and keeping up to date on relevant domain name updates
·  Gather evidence and perform other tasks related to domestic and foreign litigation
·  Collaborate with global brand protection team to provide certificates and portfolio information and to assess gaps necessary for customs and infringement actions
·  Run reports from databases as may be requested or needed
·  Assist with managing and tracking budgets and administrative set up of new matters, including tracking of outside counsel billing and invoices
·  Stay on top of latest worldwide trademark updates, become familiar with trademark office websites globally and train others on team as needed
·  Other duties as assigned

You’ll Need to Have:

·  Bachelor’s degree
·  3-5 years’ relevant experience in trademark clearance and prosecution required; in-house experience a plus
·  Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word (including track changes), Excel and PowerPoint
·  Strong knowledge of USPTO TEAS system and forms, and IP docketing systems
