General Labor – Trainer

Department: CA Distribution

Location: Whittier, CA

Shift:

This member of the Distribution Center team reports to the department Supervisor. This individual is responsible for training new employees and will ensure employees are performing their duties correctly in compliance with policies and procedures. Ensuring they maintain quality and productivity expectations.  

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:           

·  Train new employees in safety equipment operation, policies, and procedures.
·  Responsible for safety, quality, and productivity of all trainees.
·  Clearing area of empty boxes and trash
·  Palletizing of completed orders and pack outs
·  Placing completed orders onto the conveyer
·  Filling active cases into locations
·  Sweeping of “beads” and debris
·  Preparing orders for shipment
·  Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
 

·  Minimum of 1-year experience including warehouse/distribution and use of RF Scanner
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills to all levels of Management
·  Ability to identify and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
·  Bilingual is preferred

·  Able to lift up to 35 pounds – Proper lifting techniques required
·  Able to perform manual work, i.e., bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, and stooping for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) without taking a break
·  Frequent reaching above or below shoulder height
·  Frequent grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation and repetitive hand movements
·  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
