Sr. Production Scientist Associate - QA Liaison

Your Role:

 

Manufacture or evaluate products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others and perform operations in support of the group and department. Lead and participate in work with Production, QC, Purchasing, Packaging and Materials Management to resolve issues with product releases and failure investigations. Work closely with production and R & D to implement process changes based upon investigation conclusions. Oversee Corrective and Preventative Action system to ensure appropriate investigations are performed and resolution is achieved in a timely manner. Coordinate the resolution and completion of customer complaints pertaining to quality and process related issues. Assist in the development of experimental protocols for product or process validations, stability studies, and expiry date studies. Respond to quality-related customer questions.

 

Physical Attributes

 

Is frequently required to wear appropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protection equipment 'PPE' to protect themselves from toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors or airborne particles.

•The employee must be able to speak, hear and smell.

•The employee is also required to type at a computer keyboard and have the ability to read CRTs/computer monitors.

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

•BS or BA degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering or other science or technical discipline

•3+ years of independent lab research or industrial experience required

•3+ years experience in quality assurance

 

Preferred Qualifications

•MS degree in life science, pharmacy or chemical engineering

•Knowledge in chemistry or biochemistry, math and general science

•Chemical manufacturing experience

•Familiar with laboratory instruments and production equipment.

•Process techniques and unit operations.

•Analytical techniques and equipment.

•Safe chemical handling methods.

•Communication skills, oral and written.

•Computer skills: MS Office, MS Excel, SAP; Knowledge of various carrier computers

•Laboratory and analytical skills.

•Knowledge of ISO Quality standards.
