Spec Planning & Scheduling St. Louis Ewing

Your Role: 

Reviews demand plans at a global and local level and develops operational schedules to meet customer service objectives and support sales growth plans while balancing the lowest overall inventory costs and maximizing operations efficiencies.  Develop, test and execute models for scheduling operations.  Lead and/or assist process improvement initiatives.  Reviews long term plans to ensure capacity requirements are understood and met.  Compiles reports and metrics to ensure business has proper feedback loops on performance to objectives. Planning & Scheduling specialist is a lower to mid- level planning position within the Planning organization of Supply Chain. Responsibility varies depending on role and experience.  A planning and scheduling specialist may work in the forecasting, operations planning, and procurement planning functions. The position responsibilities involve reviewing and adjusting demands at a global and local level, compiling long and short-term capacity plans, and ensuring supply chain planning designs are set to achieve global service and inventory objectives.  A P&S specialist is responsible for between $5M and $50M in total inventory. Position does not include direct reports.

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

·  HS school or GED
·  Data analysis
·  2+ years of experience working in supply chain, forecasting or and planning/scheduling
·  2+ years of experience working with SAP, Microsoft office and Data analysis

 

 

Preferred Qualifications :

·  BS degree in any discipline
·  APICS certification 
·  Strong computer skills (SAP, Word, Excel, Access Lotus Notes, etc.)
·  ISO standards (in relation to preparing documents).
·  Basic scheduling techniques and material requirements planning knowledge.
·  Mathematical, organizational, spreadsheet, word processing, database management, problem solving, communication, attention to detail, teamwork, training, and leadership.
·  Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
·  Ability to communicate at different levels of the business.
·  High sense of urgency. 
·  Extremely organized and detail oriented.
·  Good judgment and analytical skills are imperative
