Your role:

 

You will be responsible for the Medical Review and the development of Medical Information and Scientific Communications content in the Neurology & Immunology (N&I) therapeutic area. You will be a recognized subject matter expert for N&I therapeutic area (TA) and all products related to that business unit. You’ll act as primary Medical Reviewer for local promotional and scientific content submitted to the Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) Review Team in the N&I Therapeutic Area. You will ensure promotional and scientific materials are in compliance with corporate standards, government/industry regulations, and legal requirements. You’ll act as an internal subject matter expert for the MLR Review process to support local and global stakeholder material proponents. With a focus on the N&I TA, contributes to the development and review of written Medical Information Local Standard Response documents for healthcare professionals. Support the N&I TA by ensuring accurate and scientifically balanced responses to unsolicited medical information inquiries are created. Provide guidance to the contact center (CC) as needed to ensure the accurate, scientifically balanced, and timely fulfillment of medical information inquiries. With a focus on the N&I TA, responsible for assisting in the development of Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) dossiers. You will manage the handling of unsolicited requests. You will initiate and/or support updates to other internal/external websites (ie, Medical Resources website, EMD Serono corporate or product websites, PhactMI website, etc) where N&I medical content is posted or referred to; obtains review and approval through the relevant MLR Review as appropriate. You will support relevant congresses and be a key contributor for the medical and cross-functional launch teams for new product(s), including ensuring overall medical compliance of materials and processes. Follow regulatory guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertaining to Medical Information, documentation and dissemination of information, and MLR Review Process pertaining to the development and review of promotional and non-promotional materials. You will interact with customers including Health Care Professionals (HCPs), patients, caregivers, and patient organizations. You will develop Medical, Development, and Commercial relationships that provide valuable medical information knowledge and expertise sharing and participates in key meetings (e.g. congresses, scientific and medical meetings, and sales meetings) and business initiatives for assigned TA(s)

 

Who you are:

Required:

·  PhD, PharmD, MD, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience
·  3+ years with PhD, PharmD, or MD degree, or 3-5+ years of experience with Masters’ degree in similar role or function
·  Thorough understanding of regulatory authorities, legal, and industry guidelines and requirements related to the practice of medical and drug information in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry required

 

Preferred:

·  Scientific and/or clinical experience within N&I (strongly preferred)
·  Experience in promotional and/or medical review (strongly preferred)
·  Experience with the Veeva electronic review system
·  Experience in pharmaceutical industry within a Medical Information, Communications, Medical Science Liaison, or Training function
·  Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to speak professionally to healthcare professionals and patients
·  Mastery of medical terminology and medical literature
·  Excellent organizational skills
·  Solutions orientation – identifies and addresses areas for improvement
·  Takes innovative approach to solving problems; able to work independently
·  Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships
·  Strong project management skills
