Scientist - Cell Design Studio

Your Role:  

At MilliporeSigma a Scientist is needed for the execution of custom development projects and product development for Cell Design Studio (CDS).  This is a customer-facing R&D group with expertise in molecular biology, mammalian genetics, genome editing, advanced cell biology and cell culture.  This position is being created to support increased demand for custom cell line engineering.

 

The CDS Scientist will be responsible for cell culture maintenance, expansion, cryopreservation and shipment of customer and company cell lines. This position requires a combination of intensive laboratory work, ability to generate and deliver scientific reports, and organization of documents. Candidate will work in a matrix environment as a member of a highly dynamic team, working on multiple projects and contributing to the development of current and future cell-line engineering technologies and methods. 

  

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or related Scientific discipline with 3 years of laboratory experience or Master’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology Cell Biology or related Scientific discipline minimum requirement. 
·  1+ years of mammalian cell culture experience with proficiency in molecular biology methods

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  3+ years of biotechnology or life science industry experience
·  Experience with gene editing, FACS, and/or NGS
·  Strong communication and organizational skills
·  Ability to work efficiently and dynamically in a fast-paced team environment
