SAP GTS Solution Expert (GTS)

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

 

·  Main contact for the Implementation of the European  customs declaration in GTS (export and import).
·  Part of the Global roll out of GTS in Sap ERP S4 HANA: compliance, SPL , customs  implementation in the EU countries, bonded warehouse in India and Taiwan, including preference processing set up for NAFTA and European Union.

 

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The principal purpose of this position is to implement new processes on our global GTS system, in the scope of Sap next project.

Analyze and agree the requirements with the business representatives, specify, configure, test, document and implement the solutions, applying standard functionality wherever possible.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

·  Maintains Business Analysis, meets with key users to understand requirements, builds global process maps
·  Creates Design, builds blueprints and ensures global approach, uses standard functionalities whenever possible, creates functional specifications for development, validates specifications with key users, configure system)
·  Carries out Implementation, configures system, performs unit tests, ensures knowledge transfer to colleagues and other departments
·  Provides 3 rd line Support, issues to be addressed within SLA, keeps Servicedesk updated about changes and enhancements
·  Contributes to the development of functional strategy

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

 

University Degree or 10 years  industry experience equivalency

Courses related to SAP GTS

 

 

Experience:

 

•           5+ years of SAP configuration for GTS

•           Chemical Industry experience preferred and a plus

•           Experience working in a complex global environment

 

 

 

Knowledge and Skills:                                                                         

 

•           Knowledge of Import and Export process in GTS in Europe / USA. If possible knowledge on the EU import and export processes , and of the FTZ process in the US.

•           Knowledge of Bonded Warehouse functionality, Screening, Product Classification and Intrastate on GTS a plus

•           Knowledge of R/3 / SAP4 HANA ,  SD processes

•           Knowledge on preference processing is a plus.

•           Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

•           Ability to discuss solutions and requirements with supervisor and users

•           Ability to document solutions and configuration in technical documents

•           Ability to create blue print documents and process flow documents required

•           Ability to clearly write Functional Specification documents

•           Ability to read and work with developers on Technical Specification documents

•           Ability to contribute to training documents

•           Ability to set up Master data

•           Able to set up testing data as required and build testing scripts to validate work

•           Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•           Ability to work with offshore resources
