Your role:

The NCE Discovery DMPK group is looking for an engaged and highly curious research associate in the field of advanced cell culture.

Our company is committed to bringing transformational medicines to patients, and you will collaborate in a matrixed environment with other passionate functional experts to deliver novel biotherapeutics. As part of Research, we are responsible for the design, optimization, and characterization of new chemical entities with regard to absorption, distribution, excretion, and metabolism from concept generation to early development.

As part of our group, you will perform and develop biological in vitro tests (e.g. metabolic stability, drug-drug interaction, and permeability assays) and bioanalytical methods in the field of DMPK. You will also coordinate in vitro studies that are performed by external providers.

Who you are:

·  You have an MSc (or comparable) degree in a (bio-)analytical, (bio-)chemical or biological discipline
·  You know how to handle cells and have experience (2-5 years) in advanced cell culture methods (e.g. 2D/3D culture, spheroids, organ-on-a-chip)
·  You are able to set-up mass spec-based analytical methods and interpret MS data.
·  Hands-on experience in the field of DMPK is a plus, e.g. in designing, performing and evaluating state-of-the-art metabolic stability, drug-drug interaction, and permeability assays.
·  You are proactive, have a problem-solving mindset and know how to organize yourself efficiently.
·  You are able to perform well in a team, but also to work independently and self-responsibly. You have analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy, reliability and sense of urgency to provide the right data within defined time frames.
·  Good IT knowledge (Windows platform, MS Office suite, data analysis, data management, electronic lab notebooks).
·  You are fluent in German or English, with an eagerness to learn to communicate in the other language.
