Your Role:

As Project Manager for Analytical & Logistical Services, you will work within a newly created and highly visible team focused on developing innovative digital solutions for our global biopharmaceutical manufacturing customers.  In this role, you will work with a global team of product managers, quality data management experts, IT project managers & developers, manufacturing sites, global procurement, key suppliers, innovation teams, and other subject matter experts to successfully execute projects focused on developing our eMERGETM program strategy. This includes providing various analytical and logistical solutions, using electronic data (eData) exchange as the foundation to develop new quality and supply chain offerings and services. You will gain an understanding of the critical business needs, product offerings, customer requirements, manage project risks, and coordinate work across the global Process Solutions business. This role may require travel to MilliporeSigma sites, select customer locations, and key suppliers as necessary (approx. 25%).

 

This position is within the BioProcess Business Operations Team, which operates as the hub for driving overall business operations improvements, innovative supply chain solutions, and global field services.

 

In this highly visible and collaborative role you will need to:

·  Manage various projects and project teams to support the strategy and operating plans as defined by the Head of Analytical & Logistical Services.
·  Participate in discussions with key functional stakeholders to agree on detailed project specifications and establish a project team required to meet the defined goals & objectives.
·  Establish and manage each project schedule and budget to ensure timely completion and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders to share relevant information.
·  Responsible for establishing and managing project timelines, deliverables, milestones, and budgets.
·  Assess project risks and implement mitigation and recovery plans as needed to maintain schedule and budget commitments.
·  Actively host and drive internal project reviews and updates as needed.
·  Maintain a centralized file for all designated projects so all key stakeholders have access to milestones and critical information.
·  Accurately assemble, analyze, and report metrics around the various projects, both internally and externally as required.
·  Prepare regular project reports and other program communications (e.g. notification of events, scope change requests, etc.)
·  May perform other duties as required and/or assigned in support of the eMERGE Program.

 

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Manufacturing, Technology, Engineering or related discipline
·  4+ years of experience working in an industrial / technology business environment
·  2+ years of project management experience or leading cross-functional project teams in B2B product development programs

 

Preferred Qualifications :

·  Master’s in Business Administration
·  Previous Life Science or biotechnology industry experience
·  Experience in scaling projects with multiple global teams enabling coordination, dependency mapping, and communication across all teams
·  Previous experience facilitating and fostering teamwork within a cross-functional environment
·  Detailed understanding of the product development and product launch lifecycle processes
·  Demonstrated ability to identify critical path items and manage key project dependencies to keep projects on schedule and within budget
·  Experience bringing new products and / or new services to market
·  Experience developing new solutions with multiple teams for viable and mutually agreeable outcomes
·  Demonstrated ability to lead and influence global teams to execute multiple projects simultaneously
·  Experience leading teams that are building and managing complex platforms that are standardized, scalable, and evolving based on the latest market / customer requirements
·  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications
·  Experience using collaboration and team management applications; Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint or similar
·  One or more project management or agile certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, etc.)
·  Excellent communications, collaboration, and influencing skills
·  Ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve defined goals & objectives
·  Proactive mindset & approach to all aspects of customer service (both internal & external)
·  Experience working on complex projects as part of a global cross-functional team                             
·  Demonstrated team management and leadership skills
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
·  Desire to learn and develop new skills and expertise
